5K Run

The 5K Run is an annual Frog Hollow event that originally began as a five mile race through the streets of South Amboy. However, over the years the race has been shortened to a 5K. The run is a kick off event for the season occurring on the fourth Sunday in June. Before the main race, there is a fun run for the children. It is an enjoyable event for the whole family or individuals that benefit a good cause. All proceeds are donated to the South Amboy First Aid and Fire Department. Adult Night
The event title says it all; a night away from the under 21 crowd at the club. The club closes early for the event and is only open to participants. This year Adult Night will take place on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 7-11pm. Enjoy a DJ, Subs, & Salads. Water is included-Bring a dessert to share. The cost is $10 per person. Guests are welcome! Pay at the entrance hut by Tuesday, August 6th.
Annual Family Picnic
The Annual Family Picnic will take place on Sunday, July 21, 2013. The rain date is the following Sunday (July 28th). The picnic runs from 12 noon to 5:00pm and the club is only open to those participating in the picnic. Walk-ins are not welcomed because we need to have an accurate head count prior to the picnic. The menu includes: hamburgers/cheeseburgers; veggie burgers; hotdogs; sausage, peppers and onions; fried chicken; chicken tenders; french fries and onion rings; selection of salads; corn on the cob; fixings bar; and watermelon. Bring your own dessert! Activities include: a horseshoe tournament, greased watermelon contest, arts and crafts, DJ and dancing, hula hoop contest, egg toss, and much, much more! MUST PAY BY 5pm ON JULY 18th. Prices for members: 13 and Over $15, 5-12 $10, 4 and under FREE. Prices for non-members: 13 and Over $18, 5-12 $13, 4 and under FREE.
Dive Meets
Dive meets are typically held on Mondays during the month of July. The club remains open for this event but the 12 foot diving well and boards are closed during these meets. For more information, visit the Dive Team Page.
Family Camp Out
The Family Camp Out will be held on Saturday, August 17th into Sunday, August 18th. Rain date is Saturday, August 24th. Tents can be set up beginning at 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon and must be taken down by 9:30am on Sunday morning.
There will be s'mores, food, drinks, breakfast, and midnight swimming! Sign up at the entrance hut! Guests are welcome!
Kid's Nights
There are multiple Kids' Night throughout the season occurring on Thursday nights. This event is open to both members and guests for a small fee. Members are $7, guests are $10, and parents are $3. Participants enjoy an evening of swimming, music, and food. The club closes early for this event and is only open to participants.
Pig Roast
This year the pig roast will be held on Sunday, September 1st. Food will be served at 12:30pm. Prices are $10 per person and $5 for children 5 to 12. Guests are welcomed but must pay the entrance fee in addition to the pig roast fee. The menu includes chicken, pulled pork, pork loins, pasta salad, and birch beer. There will be hot dogs for the children. Sign up at the entrance hut. Servers for the event are also needed. If you are interested in working, please sign up at the hut.
Swim Lessons
Swim Lessons 2013

Ages 3-4
This group is for younger swimmers who are permitted to use the main pool. We ask that all children be potty trained. In this lesson, children will learn basic water safety. The lesson meets three times per week for a half hour each session. It is strongly recommended the children attend every session. The more consistent the lessons, the better off they will be.

Ages 5-6
This group is for younger swimmers who have not yet passed their swim test. Here children will begin by learning basic water safety. We will progress onto learning some of the basics of swimming and treading water. The lesson meets three times per week for a half hour each session. It is strongly recommended the children attend every session. The more consistent the lessons, they better off they will be.

Ages 7-8
This group is for children who have not yet passed their swim test. The goal of this group is to have all children pass their swim test by the last lesson. Children learn the basics of swimming and treading water. The lesson meets three times per week for a half hour each session. It is strongly recommended the children attend every session. The more consistent the lessons, the better off they will be.

*We ask that only children who have not passed their swim test enroll in swim lessons. The purpose of the free swim lessons is to develop water safety skills and progress to pass their swim test. Children who have passed their swim test are welcome to try out for the swim team, please consult the swim team bulletin board at the pool.

*All classes are dependent on the number of signs up. If classes do not have the minimum number of participants, they will be canceled! Any questions? please feel free to speak with Shannon.

Swim Meets
Dual meets are typically held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings in the months of June and July with the exception of championship meets. In the past, the pool has been closed for these meets. However, with the addition of the new pool, the club can remain open during dual meets. For more information, visit the Swim Team Page.
Other-Arts & Crafts; Candy Bar Bingo; Tennis Lessons; Water Aerobics
Arts & Crafts are held at 2pm under the pavilion. There will be Sand Art on July 10th ($2/person), Picture Frames on July 17th ($2/person), Various Items on July 24th ($2/person), and Tie Dye on July 30th ($3/person). For Tie Dye you may bring anything to dye. Just bring it down the day before to soak overnight so the colors last longer.

Candy Bar Bingo is free for children and takes place at 2pm under the pavilion on July 4th, July 11th, July 18th, and July 25th.

There is now a sign up sheet for Tennis Lessons at the entrance hut. Lessons will be on Thursdays at 7pm. Check out one of the flyers posted around the club for more information and pricing.

Water Aerobics are held on Mondays and Wednesdays in the adult pool at 2pm.
